Solutions for
sustainable aviation

Based on more than 30 years of research and development of manned and unmanned airborne solutions, AMPAIR is on a journey to radically improve the sustainability of the aviation industry. We are doing so by unleashing the full potential of technologies from multiple disciplines, whether to enable rapid forest firefighting or by providing charging infrastructure for electric aircraft.

plugBorne — accelerating the electrification of general aviation

Electric aircraft are undergoing rapid development worldwide, and the first certified electric aircraft are already sold to flight schools and private owners around the globe in significant numbers. Fully electric aircraft will dramatically reduce the carbon emissions of the aviation industry — but only if the necessary charging infrastructure comes in place. AMPAIR is committed to boosting such infrastructure development by offering novel solutions for rapid deployment at airports of any size that want to join the green aviation revolution.

"With many years of experience developing advanced airborne solutions, I’m convinced that technology can and will play an important role fighting climate change. But it must be readily accessible to make a real difference. And that’s what AMPAIR is all about."

Annual check-up of SE-MOS – AMPAIR’s first electric aircraft

On February 13, the annual check-up of SE-MOS – the first electric aircraft acquired by AMPAIR and the fifth electric aircraft registered in Sweden – was carried out for the first time. The work was led by Sweden’s leading expert on maintenance of electric aircraft, Stefan Johansson at AMX AB. Assisted by Micke Göransson at Preflight, the check-up was professionally performed at the facilities of Bromma Air Maintenance in Norrköping.

A conceptual design study for the plugBorne project for light electric aircraft was recently completed by Gert Wingårdh, founder of Wingårdh Arkitektkontor. The design reflects the Nordic origins and is made with durable materials to last a long time. We are excited to work with Gert and his skilled colleagues in our strive to accelerate the electrification of the General Aviation sector.

We are excited to announce that Bromma Air Maintenance (BAM) have agreed to become our partner for certification of the products under development.
BAM is a certified Design Organization by the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA). Thanks to a tight collaboration throughout the design process, we achieve the fastest possible route to full certification, thus speeding up our contribution to lowering the carbon footprint of the aviation sector.
